Samsung packs its Galaxy J7+ with plenty of flagship features.

SAMSUNG’S Galaxy J7+ might be a mid-range device with an affordable price tag, but it definitely does not skimp on features.

For instance, it has a front-facing 16-megapixel camera and twin rear cameras – a main 13-megapixel sensor and a secondary 5-megapixel sensor.

The secondary 5-megapixel shoots in monochrome and is used to capture depth information for creating the Bokeh effect, which makes the subject stand out by blurring the background. This is accessible via the Live Focus mode.

The front and rear cameras also come with bigger apertures which are larger than the ones found in many mid-range models. This means that users can capture brighter photos with better details in low-light conditions.

The Galaxy J7+ also has features that are usually found in flagship smartphones such as facial recognition, Always On Display mode and Secure Folder for keeping your apps and files private.

For avid users of social media and messaging apps, the handy Dual Messenger feature is also present.

It allows you to clone popular apps such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and WeChat so you can access them with two different accounts. This can help you keep your work account separate from your personal one.

“With the Galaxy J7+, we are making advanced smartphone features such the Bixby intelligent assistant more readily available for the mass market,” said Samsung Malaysia Electronics head of product marketing Julian Thean.

Other specs include a 5.5in full HD Super Amoled display, MediaTek MT6757 octa-core processor, 4GB RAM, 32GB internal storage (expandable to 256GB via microSD card) and 3,000mAh battery.

The Galaxy J7 is available in stores now in two colours – Black and Gold – for RM1,599.
