Taking your first step in law

-

ADVANCE Tertiary College (ATC) has become the premier institution to study for your law degree. Students after Form 5 can join ATC – a “one-stop centre” – from pre-tertiary level and go all the way to postgraduate professional qualifications.

In its 27 years, ATC has become the largest independent law school in the Asian region with two campuses in Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur and Penang), one in Singapore and a joint venture partnership in Hong Kong with the publicly funded Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Its Business School offers a variety of contemporary and market-driven certificate and diploma programmes.

The first step towards a law degree is pre-tertiary qualification. The most popular by far is the UK A-level qualifications.

ATC offers the Cambridge International Examinations A-levels, which is widely recognised worldwide.

If you are considering the A-Level programme, the Free Trial Class programme lets you sit in class for up to two weeks and decide if it is what you want.

The programme is run at ATC on an AS/Advance level format over a year and a half as prescribed by Malaysia’s Higher Education Ministry.

ATC has been recognised by Malaysia’s Education Ministry with a four-star ranking, putting it above any other specialist private law school in the country.

ATC principal and deputy chief executive officer Dr Danny Choong says, “I have no doubt the reason for ATC’s outstanding achievements in recent years is powered by the amazing faculty that form the pillars on which ATC stands.”

ATC boasts the largest full-time faculty of any private law school in the country supplemented by part-time teachers who are experienced practitioners.

ATC’s famous 10-week Intensive Revision Programme has also been quoted as a reason for students’ success.

ATC students’ excellent world-class results on the University of London LLB programmes every year are a testament of its success. This year, the top three Year One students in Malaysia are all from ATC and Siah Angel, the best Year One student in Malaysia is the King’s Scholarship recipient of 2017.

With thousands of graduates currently involved in various industries, an ATC graduate is highly employable both locally and internationally.

The University of London recognises this excellence. University of London External Undergraduate Laws Programme immediate past director Prof Dr Wayne Morrison says, “ATC has groomed students on the University of London programme to achieve first class honours and second class upper honours degrees and is the single largest institution worldwide to produce such results on the University of London law degree programme.”

ATC was also one of only five institutions worldwide recognised for excellence in conjunction with the University of London’s 150th year anniversary celebrations.

ATC is now one of the nine affiliate centres of University of London worldwide for the law programme. All Malaysian school-leavers are encouraged to take advantage of the scholarship offer.
