KDU Penang’s Computing Studies are a product of its partnership with the University of Lincoln, UK.
The recent establishment of their dual award partnership combines the University of Lincoln’s experience in teaching and research with KDU Penang’s capacity to guide the transfer of learning within a local business and cultural context.
Students will receive degree certificates awarded by both institutions, enhancing the quality and recognition of their academic qualifications.
According to the latest Guardian University rankings, the University of Lincoln is rated among the top 50 universities in the UK.
In the UK National Student Survey 2017, students have rated it as top 20 in the UK for qualifications and teaching experience.
Similar to KDU, University of Lincoln also has a 95% employability rate among its students in which they manage to secure a job within six months upon graduation.
University of Lincoln (UK) was awarded Gold – the highest standard – in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE), a national independent assessment of teaching quality in higher education.
This means that said university consistently delivers outstanding teaching, learning and outcomes for its students.

Bachelor of Computer Science (Hons)
This degree is designed to produce quality graduates with sound technical knowledge of the broad aspects of computer science. It provides an understanding of computer science as an academic discipline.
The courses cover a range of topics, including object-oriented programming, artificial intelligence, mobile computing and computational mathematics.
Bachelor of Computer Science (Hons) in Computer and Network Technology
This programme allows students to demonstrate their full potential in respect to computer networking, software development and computer hardware in the context of modern digital communication systems.
It covers a range of topics including object-oriented programming, computer data networks, network programming and computational mathematics.
Bachelor of Computer Science (Hons) in Games Programming
This programme equips graduates with the latest techniques and resources to develop mobile social media and console games. Students will study and explore game design and programming, 3D graphics, game engine programming and other specialist topics in games design, AI for games, game engine, game studies and tools.
Bachelor of Information Systems (Hons)
This degree is designed to produce graduates who excel in the technical and analytical skills of information system design and management.
Students will gain the ability to assess, evaluate and communicate key aspects of Information Systems/Information Technology as an enabler of modern organisations.
The courses develop skills in understanding the critical roles of business analytics in various organisational contexts, managing projects and integrate systems within and across organisations.
KDU Penang also offers programmes at the certificate, diploma and advanced diploma levels such as Certificate in Information Technology (CIT), Diploma in 3D Animation and Motion Capture, Diploma in Computer Studies, Diploma in Games Technology and Advanced Diploma in Creative Media Design (Visual Effects).
