THE interpretation of excellence in academic distinction has been the foundation of the confluence between La Salle Brothers in Malaysia and St. John’s International School (SJIS).

SJIS envisions a great learning experience for its students, focusing on varied exposures and the needs of students to set them on a glorious trail-blazing path in higher education studies.

Preparing students for one of the most recognised pre-university qualifications in the world, International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) offers a curriculum framework patterned for educational success.

SJIS’ focus on varied exposures balances and addresses the needs of students as well as provides a seamless progression pathway from primary schools for students to excel at the IGCSE phase.

The Cambridge International Certificate in Education (ICE) is a custom-designed group award certification that offers a broad curriculum.

To obtain a Cambridge ICE award, it is compulsory for students to take a minimum of seven subjects selected from the five IGCSE subject groups.

The Cambridge ICE is supported ucational and assessment practice within SJIS.

It takes into consideration a variety of learning styles to ensure a broad and balanced programme of study.

The Cambridge ICE provides a variety of choices within each of the five IGCSE subject groups, offering a flexible route to the ICE award.

Furthermore, it allows SJIS to offer a comprehensive and balanced curriculum by recognising the achievements of learners who pass examinations in at least seven Cambridge IGCSE subjects from five different subject groups, including two different languages.

The Cambridge ICE serves a twopronged purpose for SJIS students through a double-award recognition, namely IGCSE and ICE.

Bursary for all Lasallians

SJIS is a brilliant distillation of knowledge, understanding, reasoning abilities and skills rendered through the guidance of well-established, experienced and dedicated faculty members.

This has culminated in the soaring result percentages year after year with SJIS success of garnering 57% A* and A in the 2016 IGCSE examinations.

Lasallians and alumni of Convent Bukit Nanas who enrol in SJIS will receive a 10% bursary.
