Down by the sea
The latest range of Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra timepieces were launched at the perfect setting.
WHAT better place to showcase the new range of Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra timepieces than on an island paradise? St. Regis Langkawi was the perfect venue for Omega’s launch of its new generation of Seamasters.
The brand played host to a gathering of watch lovers, celebrities and media with a theme that paid homage to the sea.
On hand to greet guests at the cocktail dinner was Jose De Cardoso, country manager of Omega Malaysia & Singapore.
“Omega has an enduring and rich maritime legacy, and it is this legacy that inspired Omega to introduce the new Seamaster Aqua Terra Collection. As the Seamaster Aqua Terra continues its journey with new designs, sizes and as Master Chronometers, today’s launch is just the beginning and we can’t wait to share it with the Seamaster’s biggest fans.”
Guests were able to take a closer look at the selection of the latest Aqua Terra timepieces such as the Seamaster Aqua Terra Gents’, Seamaster Aqua Terra Ladies’ and the Seamaster Aqua Terra Worldtimer.
Also there to demonstrate the Seamaster Aqua Terra’s extraordinary anti-magnetic properties was head of product management, Gregory Kissling, who gave a presentation on the timepieces.
Each watch in this collection has a guaranteed magnetic resistance of up to 15,000 gauss and guests had the opportunity to experience first-hand the effect of magnetism on a timepiece’s precision.
If you’re unlikely to go that deep underwater or have no idea what all that means, you can just appreciate the beauty of these watches.
Cased in stainless steel, 18K Sedna gold or a mixture of both, the Aqua Terra Collection has a wide selection of dials from black, brown, blue, grey or silvery and straps that range from steel, leather to structured rubber. And if you want something with diamonds, there’s one in the ladies’ collection, so this is definitely a timepiece that can take you from day to night.
The event had live music from popular jazz singer Evelyn Feroza and ended with a piano performance by Sharon Chong.
Celebrities seen at the event were Malaysian actresses Siti Saleha, Sharifah Sakinah and Bella Daly, and actors Nazim Othman and Ryzal Jaafar.
