Watch dimsum on the big screen
YOU can now watch dimsum, which offers unlimited access to the best of Asian content, on Samsung Smart TVs without having to purchase additional hardware.
All you have to do is connect the TV to the Internet and download the dimsum app which is supported on all Samsung Smart TVs from 2016 and models running on Tizen OS 1.0.3 or later.
“This is a big milestone for dimsum as we are partnering with Samsung, a leading global brand. We are very excited that subscribers can now enjoy dimsum on the big screen in full HD,” says Lam Swee Kim, dimsum chief marketing officer.
The service is already supported on many other devices, including smartphones, tablets, PCs, Google Chromecast and Apple Airplay.
“We are delighted to partner with dimsum to expand our ever growing list of VOD (video on demand) apps on our Smart Hub. We believe the genre offered by dimsum will be a big hit amongst Malaysians,” said Jimmy Tan, Samsung Malaysia Electronics head of consumer electronics business.
All customers who purchase a 2017 Samsung Smart TV by Dec 31 will receive free access to dimsum for 60 days.
Also, in conjunction with dimsum’s first anniversary celebration, a special subscription price of RM5 per month will be offered until Dec 2017 instead of the regular price of RM15.
This month, dimsum will be premiering You Are My Destiny, Rule The World and The Next 2, as well as the simulcast of The Starry Night, The Starry Sea 2 and Doctor-X 5.
The service, also available in Brunei, can be streamed directly from dimsum.my as well.
