OPI

OPI is ringing in the holiday season with FOR over five decades, direct-selling skincare and cosmetic brand Mary Kay Inc. has been committed to enriching the lives of women and children around the world.

Some call it corporate social responsibility but Mary Kay refers to it as Pink Changing Lives – its global cause-marketing to reach out to underprivileged women.

Pink Changing Lives – collaborated with HOPE Malaysia Worldwide – was initiated in Malaysia last year.

In a span of a year, homegrown Mary Kay’s independent beauty consultants have proudly raised RM30,000 through the sales of Beauty That Counts: Giving Heart Cheek Powder. A portion of sales from each of earmarked Mary Kay Beauty That Counts product go towards promoting the education, self-reliance, health and well-being of women and their families.

The funds have been channelled to HOPE Worldwide Malaysia to help improve the lives of underprivileged women. Causes include helping the sick, school scholarships, food programmes and volunteerism.

To add more flavour to their CSR project, Mary Kay Malaysia recently organised a beauty makeover for 10 underprivileged single Love OPI, a 12-piece limited edition collection of festive shades of its classic nail lacquer. Colours range from the soft white “Snow glad I met you'” to the super-modern jet black hue of “Holidazed over you”.

Chanel

Chanel is going bold this holiday, with a limited edition collection of polishes in contrasting, vibrant shades. Christmas hues of red and green can be found in the bright emerald “Fiction” and “Scarlet Scenario” shades, while neon oranges, electric blues and magenta pinks add a dash of flair to the series. – AFP Relaxnews mothers.

The women were treated to a full makeover experience, including a head-to-toe makeover and shopping vouchers. To make it more memorable, their children were invited to witness their mothers’ pampering session.

“Through Mary Kay Pink Changing Lives, we are happy to give back and put a smile on these single mothers and their children. I hope the experience has helped to empower women and remind them of their beauty and self-worth,” said Mary Kay general manager (Malaysia & Singapore) Khor Lee Fan in a press statement.
