Leader in front-load washing machines
ELECTROLUX, a global leader in home appliances and a market leader in fabric care, answered the call from consumers to deliver a washing machine solution that ensures excellent washing results at low temperature to save on electricity, enable faster washing cycles and be even more environmentally friendly.
Electrolux Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei general manager Koh Soh Hoie said: “This year, Electrolux further grew its market share in front-load washing machine segment in Malaysia by 2% despite the total washing machine market having significantly contracted by 23%. This is a direct result of our commitment to innovation that is in line with consumers’ direct feedback and their needs when it comes to home appliances.
“With the support shown from our customers, we intend to continue to grow our business in Malaysia through our concept stores and the distribution channel that currently reaches over a 1,000 retail stores nationwide.”
The new Electrolux UltimateCare frontload washing machines and washer-dryers were developed directly through the feedback from focus groups across three countries – Australia, Thailand and China.
The major concerns were electricity consumption, cleanliness of the garments and environmental friendliness.
According to Intertek, a worldwide group of testing laboratories for the textile, footwear, toys, petroleum and chemical industries, the Electrolux UltimateCare range of front loading washers delivers deeper cleaning even with cold water, boasting the standard of 1.07 given by the International Energy Consortium compared to the industry standard of 1.03.
At the same time, since cold water is used, the colour retention is superior with 31% less fading after a year, while the energy consumption is lowered by 75% and the washing cycle time reduced by 44%.
To ensure consumers get the cleanest wash possible, the UltimateCare range boasts the patented UltraMix Technology.
It pre-mixes the detergent with water before spraying the dissolved solution into the drum, activating it to its full potential.
It further uses the Jetspray System to ensure the whole load – even the centre of a chock-full load – is washed evenly, while preventing bleach stains.
The Vapour Action feature removes 99.9% of allergens at 40°C water temperature, while softening the fabric for better comfort.
“The Electrolux UltimateCare range of washing machines reflects a home’s need for efficiency, cleanliness and comfort. So, on top of all the efficiency and cleanliness features, we have also made it extremely gentle on the garments.
“Certain models in the new range have even met the strict quality and performance criteria, tested by independent laboratories, which recognise the washing cycle’s ability to deeply clean the wool garments without causing them to suffer from felting shrinkage, thus granting them the right to carry the Woolmark Apparel Care logo,” said Koh.
The UltimateCare range of front range washers is available in stores, starting at a retail price of RM2,999.
