CELEBRATE Christmas Eve by dining at the Royale Chulan Bukit Bintang. The Extraordin­ary Christmas Buffet will also feature carollers to liven the festive spirit.

“This is a special event as it is a tradition for us to observe Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in a big way,” said Royale Chulan

Bukit Bintang food and beverage manager Rajpal Singh.

“Our Christmas Eve buffet spread gives a nod to traditiona­l fare, with the addition of Christmas-inspired dishes.”

Diners can expect poached tiger prawns on ice alongside smoked halibut and salmon with citrus mayonnaise as well as imported salads for many salad selections, even a mix-it-yourself Caesar salad corner.

Also available will be a range of Christmas-inspired dishes created by the hotel’s chefs, such as baked lasagna with chicken bolognaise sauce, grilled baby chicken brushed with herbs, light juice and sautéed mushrooms, half oyster glazed with citrus and dill sabayon, pan-fried medallion of salmon with orange butter sauce, grilled lamb chop with rosemary sauce, oven baked salmon roulade with rosemary and grilled lamb chops.

Not forgetting, traditiona­l Christmas musthave dishes, such as roasted turkey with grape honey sauce and roast whole lamb served with speciality hot barbecue sauce and mint jelly are also in the buffet line-up.

The Christmas Eve Buffet even boasts a Malaysia Corner for local food enthusiast­s with food such as chicken and beef satay with condiments, ayam percik and an Indian Corner with lamb masala with Bukhari rice and condiments.

Apart from this, there is also a Pasta Corner and hot food selections such as butter rice, sautéed angel pasta with capsicum and seafood, baked mussel with gruyere cheese, baked stuffed crab with citrus sabayon, crocket potato, brussels sprouts, tomato Provencal and baby carrots, oatmeal prawns and grilled beef tournedos with black pepper sauce.

Those with a sweet tooth would be delighted to end the Christmas Eve buffet with an array of traditiona­l desserts such as Christmas fruit cake, vanilla yule log, choc yule log, almond stollen, tiramisu in shooter, orange cinnamon savarin, Christmas cookies, panettone and pandoro, bitter dark choc mouse in chocolate cup, praline cheese cake, mince pie, Christmas french pastry, Christmas pudding with vanilla anglaise, gingerbrea­d man, English trifle, Christmas cinnamon brulee and more.

On top of this special feast, it is also a meaningful season for the hotel with a Charity Donation in full swing. Titled “Candle of Hope”, full proceeds are channelled to the children of Pertubuhan Rumah Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Home of Peace, Kuala Lumpur.

Royale Chulan Bukit Bintang Christmas Eve Buffet Dinner is priced at RM129 nett for adults and RM75 nett for senior citizens and children. It is from 7pm to 10.30pm.
