A bright future beckons at Disted College
DISTED College is known as the pioneer higher education provider in the northern region with 30 years of distinction.
Since 1987, the college has been offering high quality courses that prepare students for cutting-edge careers not only for today’s industrial world, but also those of tomorrow.
It offers two options of preuniversity programme for school leavers. The Cambridge A-Level and the South Australia Matriculation (SACE) are internationally recognised pathways to universities worldwide.
Both pre-university programmes are available in 12-month and 18-month duration to cater to the students’ different learning needs and pace.
Disted will be offering 100% off tuition fees and MPU fees to highachieving SPM and IGCSE students.
The Full Scholarship Awards will be given to students who registered for Disted’s Pre-U and Diploma programmes in 2018.
As part of the efforts to meet the manpower requirement of today market, the college will introduce the Disted Japan Transfer Programme (JTP), which will enable students to enter participating Japanese higher learning institutions and earn an undergraduate or eventually postgraduate qualification in Japan.
Disted College has also established the Mini-Circuit – Disted Japan Transfer Programme scholarship to further encourage prospective and qualified students to pursue this prestige programme at the college.
Beside the Disted JTP, The UK Transfer Programme is designed to enable a fast-track learning experience for students to earn a globally recognised UK degree.
The Super Saver Programme is designed to reward students who would like to continue their undergraduate studies at Disted upon completing their dual award diploma.
Students stand to save up to 30% in tuition fees upon signing up for the scheme. The package serves to protect and guarantee the fees for the coming years ahead.
Disted College also offers diploma studies which come with a dual award qualification.
It presents students with not one but two diplomas. Diploma studies are available in accounting, business, computing, engineering, creative multimedia and hospitality management.
Other scholarship awards include the High Performance Scholarship which provides tuition fee waivers of up to RM9,000 for students with 3A’s and above in their forecast or actual SPM results.
The Yeap Chor Ee Charitable Trust — Penang Turf Club Undergraduate Award is another scholarship offered to deserving students pursuing their degrees in the Staffordshire University Business Degree or the HELP University Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) programme.
In addition, Disted also provides bursaries for students with disabilities in order to do its part for the well-being of the community.
These special students who are registered with the Social Welfare Department are eligible to apply for the bursary upon registering as a student in any of Disted’s programmes.
Finally, the college will be introducing Disted CARES (Community Assistance Rebates & Education Scheme) which takes into account the socio-economic backgrounds of the students.
This is in line with Disted’s notfor-profit policy to do its part in contributing back its profits to society.
