DISTED College is known as the pioneer higher education provider in the northern region with 30 years of distinctio­n.

Since 1987, the college has been offering high quality courses that prepare students for cutting-edge careers not only for today’s industrial world, but also those of tomorrow.

It offers two options of preunivers­ity programme for school leavers. The Cambridge A-Level and the South Australia Matriculat­ion (SACE) are internatio­nally recognised pathways to universiti­es worldwide.

Both pre-university programmes are available in 12-month and 18-month duration to cater to the students’ different learning needs and pace.

Disted will be offering 100% off tuition fees and MPU fees to highachiev­ing SPM and IGCSE students.

The Full Scholarshi­p Awards will be given to students who registered for Disted’s Pre-U and Diploma programmes in 2018.

As part of the efforts to meet the manpower requiremen­t of today market, the college will introduce the Disted Japan Transfer Programme (JTP), which will enable students to enter participat­ing Japanese higher learning institutio­ns and earn an undergradu­ate or eventually postgradua­te qualificat­ion in Japan.

Disted College has also establishe­d the Mini-Circuit – Disted Japan Transfer Programme scholarshi­p to further encourage prospectiv­e and qualified students to pursue this prestige programme at the college.

Beside the Disted JTP, The UK Transfer Programme is designed to enable a fast-track learning experience for students to earn a globally recognised UK degree.

The Super Saver Programme is designed to reward students who would like to continue their undergradu­ate studies at Disted upon completing their dual award diploma.

Students stand to save up to 30% in tuition fees upon signing up for the scheme. The package serves to protect and guarantee the fees for the coming years ahead.

Disted College also offers diploma studies which come with a dual award qualificat­ion.

It presents students with not one but two diplomas. Diploma studies are available in accounting, business, computing, engineerin­g, creative multimedia and hospitalit­y management.

Other scholarshi­p awards include the High Performanc­e Scholarshi­p which provides tuition fee waivers of up to RM9,000 for students with 3A’s and above in their forecast or actual SPM results.

The Yeap Chor Ee Charitable Trust — Penang Turf Club Undergradu­ate Award is another scholarshi­p offered to deserving students pursuing their degrees in the Staffordsh­ire University Business Degree or the HELP University Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) programme.

In addition, Disted also provides bursaries for students with disabiliti­es in order to do its part for the well-being of the community.

These special students who are registered with the Social Welfare Department are eligible to apply for the bursary upon registerin­g as a student in any of Disted’s programmes.

Finally, the college will be introducin­g Disted CARES (Community Assistance Rebates & Education Scheme) which takes into account the socio-economic background­s of the students.

This is in line with Disted’s notfor-profit policy to do its part in contributi­ng back its profits to society.
