Strong with you, the Force is
USE the Force, my dear children! Become one with it! Your instincts and feelings, trust them you should! Are you excited to watch the new Star Wars movie, Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Episode VIII), that is screening this month? Well, I sure am!
Star Wars has gone down in history as one of the biggest and most popular film franchises of all time. Created by George Lucas, Star Wars has gained a cult status with fans who have been influenced by its storytelling and movie-making for decades.
It’s all about the timeless battle between good and evil, light and dark, and about redemption. As an epic space opera, Star Wars has given us amazing, unique and memorable characters (like Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Chewbacca and Yoda), starships and starfighters (like X-Wings, TIE Fighters and Star Destroyers), weapons and technology (like lightsabers, droids and even the Death Star), alien species (like Twi’leks, Kaminoans, Wookiees and Ewoks), and even planets (like Tatooine, Naboo and Coruscant) that we have grown to love.
Remember, children, that anger, hatred and jealousy are the villainous ways of the Sith. If you are to become heroic Jedi, the noble traits of peacefulness, selflessness and compassion should you have.

Inesh Dhayal, seven, writes, “My favourite robot in Star Wars is BB-8. He is a spherical robot. He can fly a starfighter and has cool tools to repair starfighters. He is super awesome!”
“The empire used scout troopers for a range of missions, including reconnaissance and infiltration. On the forest moon of Endor, scout troopers riding speeder bikes patrolled the woods, guarding against threats to the shield generator that protected the second Death Star during its construction in orbit above the moon,” says Joshua Yong Kwang Min, seven, impressing us with his breadth of Star Wars knowledge.
Julia Ow Yong, nine, is a huge admirer of Princess Leia Organa. “She was born to Padme Amidala and Anakin Skywalker.
