Funky Mattemoiselle lipsticks

GET ready to pout your lips, Rihanna fans.

After weeks of teasing fans with a possible launch of her lipstick collection, award-winning singer Rihanna has announced the release of her matte lipsticks, Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle Plus Matte Lipstick collection.

Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty’s Instagram post announced that there are 14 matte shades in various hues from the natural shades, pinks, red, blue, pink and green. Yes, you read right, green.

The Barbadian singer has come up with catchy and funky names to describe each lipstick. There’s Candy Venom (electric pink lipstick), Midnight Wasabi (wicked green shade) and Ya Dig? (periwinkle blue hue).

The collection – exclusively available at Sephora – also features a moody brown shade which Queen RiRi calls PMS. The singer has made the colour relatable to women especially during “that time of the month”.

“Lipstick is all about having fun and expressing your mood at any given moment. This collection makes it easier than ever because there’s a colour for everyone,” says Rihanna in a press statement.

Rihanna, also known as Bad Girl Riri, launched her make-up collection, Fenty Beauty, in September. It comprises foundations, eyeshadow colours, brushes and highlighters.

The stylish beauty was inspired to create Fenty Beauty after realising a void in beauty products for women of different skin types and tones. Her makeup line focuses on a wide range of traditionally hardto-match skin tones and offers formulas that work for all skin types.

She says on fentybeauty.com, “Makeup is there for you to have fun with. It should never feel like pressure. It should never feel like a uniform. Feel free to take chances, and take risks, and dare to do something new or different.” – Sheela Chandran
