Exploring halal research
MANAGEMENT and Science University (MSU) organised the ninth International Medical, Pharmaceutical, Cosmeceutical and Health Sciences Symposium (iMPaCHS) at its main campus recently, which carried the theme “Exploring Innovations in Halal Research – the Next Frontier”.
In his speech during the launch of the symposium, MSU president Prof Tan Sri Dr Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid urged MSU-rians to look into creating a global halal standard and making the link between applied research and commercialisation.
Partner universities of MSU from all over the world contributed their findings to the symposium through e-posters.
The keynote address was delivered by the Malaysian Armed Forces Health Service Division Director of Pharmacy, Brigadier-General Datuk Dr A. Halim Basari.
The ninth iMPaCHS was jointly organised by the School of Pharmacy, the International Medical School and the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences.
MSU undertakes the promotion and development of halal services and products, in particular halal pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, primarily through its International Centre for Halal Studies (Ichlas).
