If you are being stalked, this is what you can do:
1. Take all threats seriously. If you feel that you are in danger, call or go to the police or contact a helpline. If your stalker is harassing you online, contact CyberSecurity Malaysia. To submit a report online, go to: www.mycert.org.my/report_incidents/online_form.html or call the cyber999 hotline at 1-300-88-2999 or #)%&$$*'$'$ (office hours +rom 8.30 - 5.30pm) or 019-2665850 (24 hours); send a text message to 019-2813801; or email: mycert@mycert.org.my
2. Come up with a safety plan such as changing your routine, arranging an alternative place to stay if you need to, and plan what to do if the stalker shows up.
3. Reach out for help. Tell the people around you–your family, close friends and colleagues what is happening so that they will also be aware and can help you.
4. Keep evidence of the stalking.
Keep emails, phone records, letters, screen shots of online posts, notes, etc. Make sure to take photos of anything that was destroyed or any injuries caused. These will not only help the authorities identify the stalker (if he or she is anonymous) but it can be used to prove criminal intent or wrongdoing.
5. Contact a crisis hotline or NGOs that offer victim support (and refuge) services:
