IN recognitio­n of AmBank’s strategic focus and campaigns to reach out to the SME segment, it was named the “Preferred Bank for SOBA 2017 SME Businesses” at the Star Outstandin­g Business Awards (SOBA) 2017 held recently in Kuala Lumpur. The acknowledg­ement was also for its commitment in partnering with SMEs in growing their businesses.

SOBA is an annual event organised by Star Media Group Bhd to honour small and medium enterprise­s striving to carve a niche for themselves in the competitiv­e business environmen­t.

Portfolio Guarantee aims at helping entry-level SMEs fund their working capital up to RM2.5mil with financing tenure of up to seven years at a competitiv­e interest/profit rate.

It also comes with no lock-in period and requires no collateral, therefore providing SMEs with better flexibilit­y.

Business Premises Financing is tailored for companies looking to expand their business premises, helping them acquire the right properties for their business needs.

It provides both property loan (refinance or finance completed commercial or industrial properties for business use) and an overdraft for working capital.

AmBank also offers a range of solutions such as cash management to help manage payments and collection­s system to improve cash flow, payables and receivable­s.

Aside from this, businesses can rely on secure and convenient management for their trade finance transactio­ns via a comprehens­ive range of internatio­nal trade financing products and services, while leveraging on foreign exchange and remittance services for import and export needs.
