Ashley Graham’s groundbreaking beauty contract with Revlon
GORGEOUS American plus size model Ashley Graham has landed a beauty contract.
As ambassador for American beauty brand Revlon, Graham is the only plus size model to have ever been signed to a beauty contract.
Graham, 30, has had a successful career as a plus size model appearing on countless reputable magazine covers and on talkshows. She has also appeared on countless runway shows and has her own swimwear line.
She is known for her work as a body activist, speaking at schools on body image and body acceptance, and she has given a TED talk on body-positive attitude.

“Historically, curvy girls are not given beauty contracts,” Graham told WWD. “It’s kind of groundbreaking, because in my generation of models, this hasn’t happened yet. This is one of those moments where I’m over the moon, I cried a little.”
Revlon also just launched their new Live Boldly campaign in New York City, introducing four new Global Ambassadors, who join iconic actress Gal Gadot. Ashley Graham, Adwoa Aboah, Imaan Hammam and Raquel Zimmermann were chosen to represent Revlon’s new campaign platform because they embody what it is to “Live Boldly”.
The beauty brand stated that “As a top model and advocate, Graham has used her celebrity and voice to challenge conventional perceptions and inspire women everywhere. Her optimism, compassion and strength have changed the industry’s perspective by creating a more inclusive definition of beauty.”
