Nova 2 Lite to go on sale March 23
SAY hello to Nova 2 Lite, the latest smartphone to join the evergrowing Huawei family.
“The smartphone is designed to cater to the younger crowd who use social media as a way to connect with the world,” said Huawei Malaysia product marketing director Luke Au at the launch.
The compact body fits a 5.99in HD+ FullView Display, and the bezel-less 18:9 aspect ratio delivers a wider view for users.
The 2.5D curved glass panel adds a premium touch to Nova 2 Lite’s sleek body that has a 7.8mm thickness.
The Nova 2 Lite sports 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual rear cameras. The former functions as the main camera while the latter provides bokeh effect with up to seven aperture levels for use.
It features an 8-megapixel front camera, fixed with a selfie toning flash which automatically detects the lighting on the subject’s face and adjusts the brightness automatically.
In addition to the fingerprint sensor, the Nova 2 Lite also has a facial recognition safety feature to unlock the phone. It is powered by AI facial recognition algorithms that reportedly enable the device to detect 1,024 feature points of a human face.
This technology supposedly unlocks the phone in just milliseconds.
The Nova 2 Lite has a 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, and features three card slots designed to support primary and secondary Nano SIM cards, as well as a MicroSD card to expand the memory to up to 256GB.
Running on Android 8.0, the Nova 2 Lite houses a 3,000mAh battery which reportedly allows users to watch videos for 13 hours or play music for up to 58 hours.
Priced at RM799, the Nova 2 Lite is available only in Black and Blue in Malaysia. It will go on sale from March 23 at all Huawei Experience Stores, authorised resellers as well as authorised Celcom and Maxis stores.
