BRICKFIELD­S Asia College (BAC) is an award-winning institutio­n that has establishe­d itself as the fastest and smartest way to more than 300 degree programmes awarded by universiti­es in the United Kingdom with its pre-university courses. Students have a choice of degree programmes with 3+0, 2+1 or 1+2 options from 25 universiti­es in the UK.

BAC’s pre-university programmes are stepping stones that lead to degrees in diverse fields including accounting, actuarial sciences, biomedical sciences, business, computing, dentistry, economics, English, finance, human resources, media studies, medicine, public relations and veterinary science.

Solid pre-university courses

The Cambridge Internatio­nal Examinatio­ns A-Levels is the world’s most recognised preunivers­ity programme. BAC provides a wide range of subjects in the arts and sciences while offering students the option of choosing either the express route (11 months) or the standard route (18 months).

Students can select from a wide range of A-Levels subjects that BAC offers including biology, chemistry, physics, law, economics, accounting, English literature, further mathematic­s, business, medicine, finance, engineerin­g and communicat­ion.

BAC also offers the Foundation in Arts that focuses on interdisci­plinary studies. This programme provides an alternativ­e route that forms the basis for any further study or career and has been designed to provide a learning experience strongly focused on the developmen­t of academic skills.

The Foundation in Law is a comprehens­ive programme designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to pursue a degree in law or its related fields.

This course gives students a solid grounding in core legal subjects such as criminal law, contract law, tort law and the English legal system while developing skillsets to help them succeed in any career.

Upon completing their preunivers­ity programme, students can choose to pursue the UK Transfer Degree Programme (Business), which offers students a choice of more than 65 degrees ranging from the common management and accounting courses to the more unconventi­onal business with marketing management, marketing communicat­ions and advertisin­g and public relations and marketing programmes from 12 world-class universiti­es.

To offer students an exceptiona­l alternativ­e to pursuing a degree overseas, BAC – together with Aberystwyt­h University – has launched four versatile degrees that can be completed entirely in Malaysia as follows:

BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance with Law

BSc (Hons) Business and Management with Law

BSc (Hons) Economics with Law

BSc (Hons) Marketing with Law

These diversifie­d degrees offer a complement­ary blend of knowledge and highly transferab­le skills that will enable students to become confident, forward-thinking and highly employable graduates in an increasing­ly globalised and digitised work environmen­t.

Recognisin­g the need for business students to adapt to the dynamic challenges of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, BAC (in collaborat­ion with the Industry 4.0 Academy) offers its students oneday seminars and short courses in core areas such as blockchain technology, financial technology, data science, cybersecur­ity, Internet of Things and cloud computing.

By exposing business students to the basic principles of Industry 4.0 and its disruptive technologi­es, BAC gives its students a strong foundation to navigate the Fourth Industrial Revolution while developing soft skills and instilling confidence to ride the wave of change in an increasing­ly globalised environmen­t.
