Opportunities to flourish
Most school leavers are usually anxious and excited about their future academic journey and the challenge of selecting the right course.
SEGi University and Colleges offers various soft skills workshop and training to ensure graduates are able to compete with the best talent from all walks of life. It also helps them to land jobs in an age where big data and artificial intelligence are set to rule.
SEGi believes future skills help support the future workforce and can be cultivated through the SEGi Talent Enhancement Programme, Student Learning Support, Personal Professional Development to face challenges and seize opportunities in a rapidly changing world of work.
Its goal is to equip young minds with the capacity to flourish in various sectors.
High Achievers’ Scholarship
SEGi provides opportunities such as High Achievers’ Scholarship (HAS) to nurture talents. It is aimed at rewarding academic excellence and nurturing young people to realise their potential.
This scholarship provides students with benefits that help them get a head start in their choice of careers.
Students can apply for HAS in a wide range of programmes such as business and accounting, communication studies, creative arts and design, early childhood care and education, engineering and the built environment, hospitality and tourism, technology and innovation, American Degree Program, law, as well as foundation studies.
SPM- or STPM school-leavers are encouraged to speak to SEGi counsellors and submit their application for HAS.
HAS offers full tuition fee scholarship to those who obtained 10As or more in SPM or UEC, 75% rebate for 9As scorers, and 50% rebate for 8As scorers. STPM leavers with 4As qualify for a full-tuition scholarship, and 75% and 50% rebate for those who have obtained 3As and 2As respectively.
Recipients are required to maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.70 every semester to maintain the scholarship.
ACE rebates
SEGi further rewards those who have also achieved great academic success through its ACE rebate. SPM, O-Levels and UEC students are entitled to RM500 rebate for every distinction (A+, A or A-) in their examinations, while STPM and A-Levels students are eligible for a discount of RM1,000 for every A scored. This scheme is open to self-funding and PTPTN students.
There is no limit to the number of discounts or rebates as ACE recipients can still apply for to other forms of financial aid.
Application and acceptance
If you have decided on a programme in SEGI College and would like to apply for a placement, drop by its Open Day at SEGi University Kota Damansara and SEGi College Kuala Lumpur campuses from tomorrow to Mar 31.
Speak to the counsellors as they will guide you in the admission procedure.
Those who are unsure of their choice of programme can visit SEGi at the Education and Further Studies Fair in Mid Valley Exhibition Centre on March 24 and 25 from 11am to 7pm; admission is free.
Friendly counsellors will be advising school-leavers prior to registering in a specific course of study by matching their interest with their strengths and weaknesses through a career test known as RIASEC.
