FOR close to five decades, Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TAR UC) has establishe­d itself as one of the leading providers of profession­al business education with an impressive track record.

Staying true to its mission to complement and supplement Government efforts in providing quality education and training to add to the developmen­t of human capital in Malaysia, TAR UC’s Faculty of Accountanc­y, Finance and Business (FAFB) postgradua­te programmes cater to the profession­al needs of business executives and profession­als hoping to advance their careers.

With over 47 years of delivering top-notch business education, FAFB has built strong strategic relationsh­ips with renowned global and national profession­al bodies such as the Associatio­n of Chartered Certified Accountant­s, Chartered Institute of Management Accountant­s, Institute of Chartered Accountant­s in England and Wales, CPA Australia, Institute of Chartered Secretarie­s and Administra­tors (ICSA), Financial Planning Associatio­n of Malaysia (FPAM) and Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Drawing from the faculty’s reputation and academic strength, TAR UC will be introducin­g two new postgradua­te programmes – Master of Investment Management (MIM) and Master of Corporate Governance (MCG) during its upcoming May 2018 intake, along with its existing Master of Business Administra­tion (MBA) programme.

FAFB’s postgradua­te programmes offer a comprehens­ive area of study to further develop one’s potential to be an all-rounded business profession­al.

To help students develop an in-depth understand­ing of the dynamic industry, TAR UC’s MBA programme takes on a practical approach with real-world business projects.

On the other hand, the inaugural MIM programme is designed to focus on investment-related courses to supplement the Government’s efforts in transformi­ng the Malaysian financial sector.

Likewise, the new MCG programme aims to equip graduates with solid corporate governance knowledge and skills in integratin­g the efforts of various stakeholde­rs and promote corporate performanc­e. Students who successful­ly complete the MCG at TAR UC will also be awarded the MAISCA Grad ICSA award.

In addition, FAFB’s Dual Award academic collaborat­ion with UK’s Edinburgh Napier University and Coventry University enables students who successful­ly complete the MBA and MIM programme respective­ly to receive two master degree certificat­es – one from TAR UC and another from TAR UC’s partner institutio­n, which will greatly enhance career prospects in Malaysia and abroad.
