THE Internatio­nal University of Malaya-Wales (IUMW) is a Malaysian Qualificat­ions Agencyaccr­edited university founded upon the collaborat­ive efforts of the University of Malaya (UM) and the University of Wales, UK (UW).

It seeks to bring together the finest academia from two continents and leverages on the best of both worlds.

UM signifies a true Malaysian legacy that has produced some of the most influentia­l people in the nation.

As the country’s first university, it also has a rich history in the landscape of national progress.

The recent world rankings have seen UM ranked among the top 120 universiti­es in the world.

Meanwhile, UW was founded in 1893 by the Royal Charter in the UK.

IUMW is one of the first universiti­es in Malaysia to offer an educationa­l package in true synergy of the strong academic forces in both Malaysia and the UK.

In just one admission, students can obtain two degrees via the unique Dual Award programme and study at three universiti­es: IUMW, UM and UW.

The Dual Award programme also paves the way for students to spend a semester at UM and UW.

Its internatio­nally recognised degrees provide students with affordable and quality education through visiting lecturers from UW and UM.

The IUMW experience transforms students into lifelong learners with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to conquer the world.
