Time for Helloween

- – Angelin Yeoh

GET your headbanging mode on and be ready to rock out with German power metal band Helloween next month.

The seven-member band is bringing its Pumpkins United World Tour to Malaysia with a show at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park (MAEPS) Serdang in Seri Kembangan, Selangor on April 28.

It is set to perform hits like I Want Out, Forever and One, Keeper Of The Seven Keys, Ride The Sky and of course, Halloween.

Formed in 1984, Helloween consists of vocalists Andi Deris and Michael Kiske, guitarists Michael Weikath, Sascha Gerstner and Kai Hansen, bassist Marcus Grosskopf and drummer Daniel Loble.

The band has released 15 albums throughout its three decade-long career. In an interview with Hard Wired magazine in 2018, Deris revealed that it was hard for the band to come with a setlist for the new tour.

“It‘s certainly a pain to reduce a show down to three hours. Yes, I know three hours is long, but there are still lots of beloved songs you cannot play. We decided to take songs from every area; classics, fan favourites ... and that is how we finally built the set list,” he said.

Tickets to Pumpkins United: Helloween Live In Malaysia are priced at RM295, RM350, RM450, RM600 and RM900. Early bird discount is available until April 1. Check out soundvalleyfestival.com for more information.
