JUDGING by his recent updates on social media, we’ll be seeing a lot of Donnie Yen (pic) in the cinemas this year.

On March 19, the Hong Kong action star unveiled on Instagram, the poster and trailer for his latest actioner Big Brother. Then on March 20, he posted on Facebook the posters Ip Man 4, Big Brother, Enter The Fat Dragon and Crossfire.

The posters indicate that Yen will produce and star in all four films.

Yen, 54, said: “I am producing four movies this year and each will be unique and spectacular, two of them releasing this year and two next year. One can do many wonderful things and do them beautifully if they have the right mind and heart! More to come!”

The trailer for Big Brother shows Yen as a clean-cut school teacher who philosophises about the true value of education while fighting to keep his students safe from thugs.

In a separate post, Yen stated Big Brother dealt with a subject that he has always wanted to explore – education. “I’m proud to say it will be refreshing, unique and impactful, particularly tapping upon the stress and issues of today’s teachers and students,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, principal photography for Enter The Fat Dragon commenced in Tokyo in late January and has progressed to post-production stage with 3D scanning work in progress.

Yen also recently attended a costume fitting session for Ip Man 4. Wilson Yip, who directed the previous three Ip Man movies (2008, 2010, 2015), will be helming the film with action director Yuen Woo Ping.

Veteran Hong Kong filmmaker Benny Chan (Call Of Heroes, Shaolin, New Police Story) will serve as director and producer for Crossfire
