FROM Rihanna to The Weeknd, Puma has been recruiting some major names from the entertainment industry for their global campaigns. The brand’s latest addition is none other than BTS.

The K-pop group comprising of V, Suga, JungKook, Rm, Jin, J-hope and Jimin, has been making huge waves in the music scene and is adored by millions of fans from their home base to the far corners of the globe.

This year, together with Puma, BTS will release its collaborative product line worldwide. It includes a remix of the classic Puma Turin and stylish sportswear basics.

In addition to the creation of the Puma x BTS collection, the seven members are set to appear in Puma’s Sportstyle range campaigns. This features classic icons such as the Puma Suede and T-7 Track Suit.

BTS won “Top Social Artist” last year at the Billboard Music Awards, surpassing world famous artists. They were also the first K-pop group to be invited to the American Music Awards to perform on stage.

The group’s latest remix album MIC Drop made it to 28th place on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart – very much a top record when it comes to the K-pop music industry.

According to Puma, BTS’ innovative spirit, authenticity and creativity sync perfectly with its DNA. The group has partnered with Puma in South Korea since 2015 on brand campaigns and product collaborations.

The Puma x BTS Turin will feature a classic, minimalistic, monochromatic colourway with a synthetic leather upper. Brandings of Puma and BTS are stamped on the sneakers’ insoles and on the heels of the shoe.

It carries the band’s insigna of a hand holding a stalk of flower too. The symbol means “thank you”, signifying gratitude to the BTS “army” – their fanbase.

Other sportswear basics include T-shirts that carry the BTS logo in red, white or black, as well as shorts, socks, jackets and more.

The special Puma x BTS collection will first hit stores in South Korea this month and roll out globally in July.
