One admission, two degrees
After getting their SPM results, school-leavers face the challenging task of deciding on their next big step.
For those keen on furthering their studies in the UK, look no further than the International University of Malaya-Wales (IUMW).
IUMW is a Malaysian Qualification Agency-accredited university founded upon the collaborative efforts of the University of Malaya (UM) and the University of Wales, UK. It seeks to bring together the finest academia from two continents and leverages upon the best of both worlds.
The programmes offered at IUMW comprise a variety of industrially relevant pre-university, undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Programme disciplines include business administration, accounting, real estate management and auction, psychology, computer science, information technology, biotechnology, Internet engineering and project management.
The IUMW experience transforms students into lifelong learners with the knowledge, skills and confidence to conquer their chosen industry. It is one of the first universities in Malaysia to offer an educational package that is a true synergy of its strong academic forces in both Malaysia and the UK.
With just one admission, students can obtain two degrees via the unique Dual Award programme and study at three universities – IUMW, UM and the University of Wales.

This way, students do not need to shoulder the burden of financing their studies abroad. All it takes is one impactful semester in the UK to earn two degrees, with one degree awarded by the University of Wales and the other by IUMW.
As an institution that was also founded by UM, students get the chance to spend a semester at its campus and experience studying in a first-class university that was ranked 114th in the 2017 QS World University Rankings.
As IUMW is strategically located in the heart of the city, it is highly accessible by public transport and is just minutes away from world-class shopping complexes, sprawling gardens and other Malaysian attractions.
IUMW’s campus is situated on 14 acres of land, with a wide range of facilities offered to support its students’ learning experience. Among the facilities are a library with a massive collection of books and online resources, a state-of-the-art auditorium, lecture halls, seminar rooms, cafeterias and fully equipped laboratories.
