Unleash your creative potential

-

DASEIN (da:za-in), a term derived from German philosophy, has inspired philosophers, artists, writers and creative thinkers to discover and redefine the meaning of one’s true being and existence.

A quote by philosopher Enrich Fromm, “People are born equal, but they are also born different” has since become the academic hallmark of Dasein Academy of Art, where the craft of imagination is about training the creative minds of individual talents, as great artists bear the timeless imprint of identity in their masterpiece.

Driven by this ingenuity, Dasein believes that art, design and media studies is more than a mere skill or job market-oriented curriculum. After all, it is through creative thinking and aesthetic learning that one discovers the beauty of one’s existence.

With that ideal in mind, Dasein Academy of Art was established in 1996 by a team of avid educators and professionals from the art, design and media industry, aspiring towards a future generation dedicated to creative and cultural development for personal enrichment.

Throughout its years advocating individual distinction, Dasein Academy of Art has developed a unique set of teaching principles called edu-mentoring.

Personalised approach

As the word suggests, Dasein Academy of Art has incorporated two key ingredients into its syllabus for developing young minds – teaching plus mentoring to provide a more personalised approach to every teachinglearning relationship. After all, it is through the guidance in self-discovery that the hidden gem of self-value can be unearthed.

So, how does edu-mentoring work? It focuses on the concept that self-value starts from personal virtues. Unlike most mass-teaching institutions, Dasein insists on small-scale classes by limiting each class to 15 to 25 students.

Edu-mentoring enables personalised guidance for students to uncover their inner virtues with better attention and results.

Accomplished professionals

Over the years, Dasein graduates have consistently demonstrated a 98% employment rate within three months of graduating.

This proves that Dasein’s efforts in cultivating accomplished and sustainable professionals are recognised by the creative industry.

To inspire students and connect with the creative industry, Dasein strives to foster knowledge sharing and creative enlightenment.

Artists and scholars from around the world are often invited to host academic forums and talks, providing a valuable platform for students and speakers to uncover inspiring insights that help fuel the creative process.

Skilled designers

Dasein believes in the fundamentals of creative education and aims to provide the right kind of learning environment and tools that not only produce skilled designers, but also those who can think, innovate and create.

It is time to rediscover creativity, see things differently and start your journey with Dasein Academy of Art.
