MALAYSIA is in need of highly skilled human resources to close the demandsupply gap in various industries.

The Government has determined that the Technical and Vocational Education and Training sector is the main route in providing highly skilled human resources and is one of the key economic drivers for Malaysia.

Accordingly, MSU College offers a Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering through its School of Science and Technology. It deals with the study and application of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism. Students will learn about the concepts and applications of power generation, transmission and distribution of engineering.

With emphasis on utilisation and control of electrical energy and technology, this course will provide a strong foundation in theory and practical training. It will also enable students to understand the fundamentals of electrical and electronic engineering.

Students with a minimum of three passes including credits in Bahasa Malaysia, Mathematics and Science in the SPM/SPMV are invited to join the programme.

Those who scored less than three passes but wish to join are encouraged to pursue the Certificate in Electrical and Electronic Engineering before advancing to the diploma programmes.

Graduates can further their studies with a bachelor’s degree at Management and Science University through the Faculty of Information Sciences and Engineering, where students are eligible for advance standing in the second year as transfer credits are given.

This programme prepares students for a career as a technician engineer in areas such as computer systems development, industrial electronics, communications engineering and electronic design and development.
