Yummy ice cream
ICE CREAM is one of the best desserts in the world. You can find it in many different flavours such as chocolate, vanilla, strawberry as well as newer flavours like salted caramel, cookies and cream and Banana Nut Fudge. The sweet taste and cold, creamy texture of ice cream make it difficult for us to just walk past an ice cream parlour without nipping in to buy a scoop or two of the delicious dessert. The best part about ice cream is that is makes us happy.
We asked Starchild readers to send in letters on the topic: My Favourite Ice Cream. Let’s read what they have to say.
Chloe Ong Wei Sze, 10, says ice-cream is colourful and delicious. “There are many kinds of ice cream flavours such as chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, mango, lime, mocha and other flavours. Sometimes, toppings can be added to ice creams as well to enhance the taste.
“Last Saturday afternoon, mum brought me for an ice-cream treat. There were many flavours such as vanilla, chocolate and lime. The ice creams were colourful and cold. They are generally sweet and can appeal to everyone,” writes 10-year-old Tuan Ding Xuan.
Six-year-old Loshana Laksmi Mathuraganapathy loves the strawberry flavoured ice cream. “I would usually have two to three scoops of ice cream whenever I order ice cream.”
Jayden Ong Ming Li, eight, loves eating ice cream. “My favourite ice cream flavour is chocolate chip.”
Older sibling Joelle Ong Ming Jie ,11,is also an ice cream lover. “I love my strawberry ice cream with chocolates and sprinkles. Ice cream with cones are my favourite as I can eat the cone as well.”
Nine-year-old Tiffany Ang Yun Xuan, prefers Green Tea ice cream. “I like eating the ice cream in a cup as it won’t drip all over me.”
Ten-year-old Gan Xiang Ning loves chocolate, strawberry and vanilla flavoured ice creams. “Sometimes, I prefer the popsicle ice cream as I can keep the popsicle sticks to make crafts.”
“My favourite ice cream is the honey dew flavoured one,” writes Wendy Goh, 10.
Ten-year-old Lucas Ong is also a big ice cream fan. “Among all ice cream flavours, honey dew ice cream is still my favourite.”
“Vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup and whipped cream is my favourite,” says Hani Zuhayrah ,10.
Ilie Delisha, 10, prefers strawberry and chocolate ice cream. “Even though ice cream is delicious, it is advisable that we don’t eat them all the time as it would be harmful to our health.”
Ten-year-old Charmaine went to Baskin Robbins last week with her father and brother.
“When we reached Baskin Robbins, we saw many yummy ice creams. My brother saw a colourful looking ice cream and dad bought the ice cream for the both of us. The ice cream was sweet and tasty.”
Wan Zi Seng, 10, loves the sweet and cool feeling when indulging in ice cream. “My favourite ice cream is the strawberry flavoured one. I enjoy eating ice cream, especially on a hot day.”
Six-year-old Anna Ruth Oh Hui Hann prefers the vanilla and chocolate flavoured ice creams as compared to the other flavours. “I like my ice cream on a crunchy cone with fresh fruits such as mangoes and blueberries.”
