THE auspicious gold-buying day for Hindus, Akshaya Tritiya, falls today. The festival sees believers heading out to purchase gold, as it is thought to bring prosperity and wealth.

“Akshaya” means “never diminishing”, while “Tritiya” means “third”. It is named after the third lunar day of the spring month of Vaisakha in the Hindu calendar, the day it is observed.

Poh Kong is marking the occasion with a range of jewellery pieces. Among them are intricately designed masterpieces from the Bombay Collection and elegant gold pieces from the Tranz Classic series.

Make a grand entrance glittering in an impressive pair of Bombay Collection 916K gold earrings and necklace. Each piece is meticulously embellished with enamelled pieces that will bring joyous colour into the world.

Just as impressive and stunning is the matching gold bangle. Tastefully adorned with enamelled pieces and intricate carvings to add a touch of extravagance, the design is a perfect match for saris or shalwar kameez.

Tranz Classic, which adheres to four distinct design themes of Classic, Nature, Love and Duet, is offering two standout earrings in celebration of Akshaya Tritiya this year.

While one makes use of golden loops and hoops that exude exquisite allure, the other comes accentuated with immaculate designs depicting subtle motifs of leaves and a honeycomb.
