dimsum expands anime content
ANIME fans will be glad to know that dimsum is expanding its anime catalogue via its latest tie up with Japanese animation content partner Ani-One.
dimsum is a homegrown subscription video-on-demand (VOD) service, while Ani-One (Anime for Everyone) is a Hong Kong-based media platform that features massive and express Japanese animation content.
dimsum is Ani-One’s first overseas partner as well as Ani-One’s designated partner in South-East Asia.
The partnership was announced during the recent two-day Toys, Anime, Games & Comic Con (TAGCC) event which drew a massive crowd at Mid Valley Exhibition Centre, Kuala Lumpur.
During the event, dimsum chief marketing officer Lam Swee Kim said: “There is a huge demand for Anime content in the region, and our focus is to offer more choices and fresh entertainment to our subscribers.
“With that in mind, partnering with Ani-One proved to be the right fit for dimsum, as Ani-One gives subscribers the chance to delve into a new genre and enjoy the best of Japanese animation.”
Ani-One licensing director for Singapore and Malaysia Belinda Ngoh added: “Malaysia is the first country for Ani-One to be launched outside of Hong Kong. We are delighted of our partnership with dimsum, which is making waves in the VOD space in Malaysia and eventually the region, as it offers fans a whole new and convenient way to watch animation.
“With colourful graphics, vibrant characters and fantastical themes, we believe everyone on dimsum will really enjoy Ani-One anime.”
