SATURDAY AND APRIL 28: Organised by TeenEdge Malaysia, the workshop allows participants to experience a professional recording studio setup and learn about how a song is produced from scratch. SATURDAY: Soka Gakkai Malaysia is presenting this talk in conjunction with its Month Of Sustainable Development. The speaker, Benjamin Ong, is an ecologist by training and an explorer at heart. He is the founder of Rimba Project, a campus sustainability and urban conservation initiative based at the University of Malaya’s Rimba Ilmu Botanic Garden. He has also won several awards for his contributions in the field of sustainability, including the Chevening Environmental Volunteer of the Year award. Time: 3pm-4.30pm. APRIL 27-30: Do you know that there is a diverse range of plants and wildlife in our cities that plays an important role in the ecosystem? To promote urban wildlife and biodiversity conservation, Rimba Project is organising the Klang Valley City Nature Challenge (KV CNC), joining 60 cities worldwide in the global City Nature Challenge. The CNC is a mobile app-based competition where people in cities around the world compete to see who can make the most observations of nature, who can find the most species, and who can engage the most people. While the main objective is to document nature where you are (home, school, workplace), it also welcomes participants keen to join the KV CNC organising committee at selected sites on different dates.
