RECYCLING is an encouraged habit in modern life, and inspired by the idea, a Swiss beauty company is taking recycling a step further in its newest skincare.

When it comes to anti-ageing skincare, the fight against free radicals is the number one issue that needs to be tackled.

Free radicals are unstable oxygen molecules that can damage cells in our body, meaning we will age faster. This is a normal metabolic process in our bodies and it can also happen when we are exposed to tobacco smoke, drugs, ultra-violet light or environmental chemicals.

The majority of anti-ageing skincare tackle free radicals by reducing or preventing the reaction of free radicals in our skin that leads to ageing.

But now, La Colline, a luxury Swiss skincare brand has found a way to tackle free radicals – by recycling it. La Colline’s NativAge, a premium anti-ageing skincare line which is available at Sasa, is the result of the brand’s research breakthrough in the fight against cutaneous ageing.

Jessica Ecolasse, the international trainer and retail developer of La Colline International, says NativAge is the first comprehensive anti-ageing skincare to offer effective action of Eco-Regeneration.

Who knew a recycling technique could be put to good use in a skincare! This breakthrough was the result of several years of research by the company and that is in keeping with the brand’s high standards in anti-ageing skincare, according to Ghislain Pfersdorff, the CEO of La Colline International.

“La Colline is a young skincare company and we are just 20 years old, and we are dedicated to developing the best skincare in Switzerland with the values of Swiss craftsmanship and efficacy,” says Pfersdorff at the recent launch of NativAge in Kuala Lumpur.

Pfersdorff says the company has also built a research team that is now on a mission to bring skin grafts into an invisible state.

“We decided to focus on oxygenation at the heart of our skincare research. Oyxgen is the source of life. In Switzerland we are surrounded by lakes, where everyone lives. That’s where we have access to technology based on oxygenation. Our efficacy comes from the CMAGE complex of oxygenation, hydration and protection, which is in every skincare product.

“La Colline is like a multi-layered engine. We focus on the engine and we do very complex formulations to bring the best possible results,” he says.

“In NativAge, the new active ingredient, Cell Life Extender, transforms free radicals into oxygen and water for the skin and it boosts the production of collagen. This in turn lets the skin produce its own collagen and skin becomes firmer, denser and more supple,” Ecolasse explains.

“With this complex technology, we don’t just put active ingredients together. We combine different intelligent technologies together to create an efficacious product. Our clinical results show that after 28 days, the deepness of wrinkles is reduced,” she says.

The range includes the NativAge La Creme, Le Serum and Eye La Creme. They come in a pink-tinged matte gold packaging, with a wave design on its cap that subtly evokes the “collines” or hills of the Valais Alps.

According to Pfersdorff, one of the products the brand is very proud of is the Swiss Riviera Global AntiPollution Emulsion that taps three powerful and leading edge technologies to combat the harmful effects of pollution.

“The initial objective was to put Switzerland in a bottle. If you have to use one skincare product then it’s this one, an anti-ageing and anti-pollution skincare,” he says.

For a 20-year-old brand, La Colline has a total of 58 products only and Pfersdorff explains, “We are a small team of 40 globally, but Switzerland is known for its efficiency and high level of skills, so we believe in developing steadily and only bringing the best to our customers.”
