MALAYSIAN subscription video-on-demand (VOD) service dimsum announced last week that it will make its debut in Singapore through StarHub Go, a one-stop video streaming service offering thousands of TV shows and movies.

The partnership will see the launch of dimsum on StarHub Go as a newly-branded VOD space, making Singapore the third country after Malaysia and Brunei to become part of its regional expansion plan.

StarHub is also the first partner to launch the lite version of dimsum offering high quality content from China, Thailand, Japan and Korea.

“We are very happy to partner with StarHub, and excited that StarHub Go users will be the first in Singapore to watch the latest popular content on dimsum.

“This addition is significant in our long-term goal to expand dimsum to regional audiences,” said dimsum chief marketing officer Lam Swee Kim.

StarHub head of product Justin Ang added: “dimsum is a recognised video streaming service in Malaysia and our collaboration will give StarHub Go customers even more reason to cheer.

“We are always looking to add fresh content to the service and are confident that dimsum will expand the breadth and depth of our StarHub Go offering.

“In addition to new Thai dramas, StarHub Go Select customers can look forward to hours of programming from China, Japan and Korea at no additional cost.”
