Fun activities at BookFest
CHILDREN, here is your chance to discover more about the environment.
At the upcoming Little Eco Warriors Recycling Carnival, learn simple ways you can help save Mother Earth.
This fun event is happening from June 13-14 (3pm-8pm) at The Stage, Hall 5, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC). It’s part of the nine-day-long BookFest@Malaysia 2018 fair taking place from June 9 to 17 at the KLCC that’s organised by Popular Book Co (M) Sdn Bhd.
There are four stations at the Little Eco Warriors Recycling Carnival: Station Prof E & Kiki, Station Leo, Station Ethan, and Station Willow. Children can participate in many fun activities at the stations, such as making gift cards, shredded paper craft, and making sock bunnies using recycled items.
Participants who complete the circuit of game stations will receive a mystery gift and a copy of Popular Malaysia’s Little Eco Warriors book. It is a comic and story book with step-by-step craft tutorials, fun activities and recycling facts. The carnival’s entrance fee is RM5. To register, go to bit.ly/lewbf18.
Also happening during the fest from 11am to 2.30pm is the Awesome & More Children’s Colouring Competition.
The competition is divided into Categories A (five to eight years old) and B (nine to 12 years old).
The first prize winner will walk away with a Faber-Castell hamper worth RM400 and a RM100 Popular gift voucher. Second place winner receives a Faber-Castell hamper worth RM300 and a RM100 Popular gift voucher. Third place winner gets a Faber-Castell hamper worth RM200 and a RM100 Popular gift voucher. Also, 20 consolation hampers worth RM100 each up are for grabs.
