Izara Aishah shares secret to flawless skin

SMOOTH, dewy and unblemished, Izara Aishah’s skin is just enviable.

The 25-year-old actress recently let us in on the secret to her porcelain complexion, and the answer is simpler than you think.

“After cleansing my skin, I don’t wipe my face with a (bath) towel. I use a tissue,” she shared at a buka puasa event at a hotel in Kuala Lumpur.

“When you’ve wiped your whole body with a towel and then wipe your face with it, you might dirty your skin,” she reasoned, adding it’s very important to wash your face every night before going to bed.

Izara, who tied the knot with businessman Adib Khalid last November, also talked about what the fasting month has been like for her so far.

“It’s been a sweet experience. This is my first Ramadan with Adib, as husband and wife. I feel so mature. I cook and prepare everything before waking my husband up for sahur.”

“I cook simple dishes. He’s not picky, thankfully. He just doesn’t like dishes that have vegetables in them.” Some of her specialties include butter chicken, ayam masak merah and nasi paprik.

Career-wise, Izara will shoot a 100-episode soap opera, Jodoh-Jodoh Anisa, from June till next year.

“Balancing work and family is not easy. But my husband is very understanding,” said Izara, who first shot to fame with the 2011 series Vanilla Coklat.

“I shot a 13-episode drama recently and got an idea (of what it takes). I was thinking of my husband’s needs while at work. Towards the end of the filming, I think we’ve learned to adapt.”
