Taking TV to the next level
Samsung says it is redefining interactivity and immersion with its 2018 QLED TV range.
COnSUMERS are now more discerning about the way they view content than ever before.
Understanding the demands for larger screens, outstanding image quality and seamless connectivity, Samsung has introduced the Q9F 4K Smart QlEd TV, Q8C 4K Curved Smart TV and Q7F 4K Smart QlEd TV.
“The 2018 QlEd TVs are truly our most cutting-edge and contemporary designed TV based on the modern consumer’s lifestyle.
“as such, we are proud to say that our consumers will be able to enjoy their content, and how they interact with their devices on a redefined level,” said Samsung Malaysia Electronics president Yoonsoo Kim.
The TVs are claimed to deliver deep blacks and pure whites, made possible by the direct Full array feature which automatically adjusts the brightness and darkness in each scene.
it also reduces blooming and halo effects to achieve deeper contrasts, with inky blacks and brilliant whites.
The anti-reflection technology, on the other hand, minimises glare to provide a better viewing experience from almost any angle.
“another feature that we are excited about is the Magic Screen, which we believe suits today’s modern lifestyle,” said Samsung Malaysia Electronics audio visual division head Vincent lee.
The Magic Screen is like a screensaver – when the TV is not in use, users can choose to use it as a digital photo frame, to play music, display news and weather forecasts, or make it seamlessly blend with the background.
“When in Magic Screen mode, the electricity consumption can be reduced by at least 60%,” claimed lee.
he added that aesthetic is key in any modern day living room, and the last thing one needs is unsightly cables cluttering the back of the panel.
This is where the One invisible Connection comes to play. Only one cable runs from the TV to a “box”, which can be placed as far away as 15m from the television.
The box has several inputs and outputs, including three hdMi ports and two USB ports, as well as WiFi connectivity.
For a seamless experience, users can download the SmartThings app on their phones or tablets and control the television, as well as other compatible appliances in their homes like the company’s smart washing machines.
The Q9F 4K Smart QlEd TV comes in two sizes – 75in (RM34,904) and 65in (RM18,866); the Q8C 4K Curved Smart TV in 65in (RM16,980) and 55in (RM9,433); and the Q7F 4K Smart QlEd TV in 75in (RM31,131), 65in (RM15,093) and 55in (RM8,489).
Samsung also introduced the Premium Uhd TV and Uhd TV ranges.
The Premium Uhd TV features two models, nU8500 and nU8000, with prices ranging from RM5,999 to RM22,999. The TVs support hdR10+ for displaying a wider range of brightness and contrast in pictures.
The Uhd TV models – nU7400, nU7300 and nU7100 – come with hdR and are priced from RM2,999 to RM11,999.
To complement the TVs, Samsung also unveiled four new soundbars.
The company’s 2018 home entertainment lineup is available at all Samsung Brand Stores and authorised dealers nationwide.
