My dream house

-

MY dream home would be filled with lots of chocolates, ice cream and biscuits. There will be trays of cakes on the first floor, boxes of muffins on the second floor and a smoothie maker on the third floor. Doesn’t that sound like a dream?

If you had a chance to design your dream home, what would it look like? Would it be similar to a “pineapple” house under the sea like cartoon character SpongeBob’s house in SpongeBob SquarePants? How about a tree house, high up on a tree complete with a trap door and huge rope to climb up and down? Or do you prefer a simple kampung house surrounded by lush greenery?

Do you know old steel shipping containers are being transformed into mini houses? These houses are gaining popularity as they are affordable and environmental friendly.

Recently, we asked Starchild readers to send in drawings on the topic, My Dream Home. Here are their contributions.

“My royal castle will be surrounded by greenery. It will be made from unicorn’s hair, fairy dust and love dust. The castle will have special wings that will enable it to be transported to different countries,” writes Grace Kong Wan Ching, eight.

Seven-year-old Yap Shin Ee dreams of living like a princess in a three-storey castle.
