Message for Tun M
Recently, Starchild asked readers to submit their letters to Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad. Children were invited to tell Dr Mahathir their hopes and dreams for Malaysia. Let’s hear what they have to say.
Anna Ruth Oh Hui Hann, seven, says: “Congratulations on being the seventh Prime Minister of Malaysia. I hope for a better Malaysia in the years to come, with Malaysians of different races living in harmony. I hope Malaysia will have a better education system. I pray it will be a safer and secure country to live in.”
Chang Zhi En, 10, hopes our Prime Minister will take care of his health. “Dear Tun M, Only with good health will you be able to take care of us. We need unity. I hope under your guidance, our country and rakyat can prosper.”
Eight-year-old Clarisse Sim Kai Yi dreams of a green and clean environment with friendly Malaysians. “Dear Prime Minister, please stop clearing forests and reclaiming the land from the sea. We can make Malaysia a beautiful place if we work together. Let’s hope for peace and harmony.”
Nine-year-old Gideon Immanuel Andrew David likes the Prime Minster and thinks he is a great man. “At the age of 93, our prime minister is a strong man. I would like to have a meal with our prime minister. I would ask him to improve the education system, so that it’s on par with other countries around the world.”
Younger sibling Bernard Jude Andrew David, seven, says: “I hope our Prime Minister will work with the Education Ministry to provide Internet in schools. This will enable students to further enhance their knowledge.”
Yap Shin Ee, seven, says: “I pray for a peaceful Malaysia. I pray Dr Mahathir will remain our Prime Minister for many years.”
