Triumphant in Turkey
EIGHT International Business undergraduates spent a semester abroad under Management & Science University’s (MSU) Global Mobility Programme (GMP) at Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey.
The eight from the Faculty of Business Management and Professional Studies (FBMP), were placed at Bilkent’s Faculty of Business Administration Department of Management.
“It was a meaningful and interesting experience,” said Amir Asyraf Zainuddin, who, together with his MSU course mates, worked together with undergraduates from South Korea and France to emerge winners of the “Excellence is the Challenge” competition.
The competition involved all international students in Bilkent during the orientation week. It required them to produce a short video clip on their experiences leading to the orientation week in that university. The video with the highest number of likes wins the competition.
And the video clip Amir produced together with his coursemates and other foreign undergraduates among the competition’s seven challenges, received the highest number of likes among the international teams.
With new friends from Sweden, Switzerland, Canada and America among them, it was a new experience for the students in terms of language, culture and the learning environment.
“We made the local language barrier our motivation to learn Turkish,” said Amir.
Bilkent University, among Turkey’s finest, is one of over 40 Management and Science University (MSU) partner universities all over the world.
