A promising future in tourism management

-

THE tourism industry has long been one of the biggest income generating vehicles of the world. The rapid growth of hospitality and tourism over the years has generated not only revenue for the countries involved, but also created enormous employment opportunities.

This gives a positive outlook to the hospitality and tourism industry in Malaysia. Hospitality and tourism management is a multidisciplinary field of study with the purpose of preparing people with the expertise, commitment and skills for management, marketing and operations positions in the expanding global industry.

MSU College offers Diploma in Tourism Management through its School of Hospitality, Education and Business Studies to complement the need for a highly skilled workforce in the hospitality and tourism industry.

If you have the interest to pursue a career in operations management in the tourism industry, the course would be the right choice.

The programme provides students a strong foundation in technical and basic skills and knowledge on the overall tourism industry.

Students will be exposed to the main disciplines required in the modern management of the global hospitality industry. The curriculum places equal emphasis on the development of effective communication, research, planning and event management skills.

The two and a half-year programme gives students sufficient hands-on skills to excel in the industry.

Students will be able to broaden their knowledge in handling the travel and tourism industry, such as hotels and resorts, airlines, visitor attractions, and tour and travel operators.
