There are two aircraft housed in a purpose-built hangar. Students have access to proper tooling as well as turbine engines which allows them to gain valuable hands-on experience.
This experience is put to use during the six-month on-the-job-training, which is built into the two-and-a-half-year programme.
Students get to hone their skills at one of Nilai U’s industry partners, which include AirAsia, AirAsia X, KLM, Berjaya Air and more.
Graduates of the diploma programme can advance towards an Advanced Diploma in Aircraft Engineering Technology programme.
Students who successfully complete this one-year top-up option will also receive a BSc (Hons) in Aircraft Engineering from Kingston University, UK.
The degree is aimed at students who want to go into supervisory and management positions.
It is also a pathway onto a master’s degree in aircraft engineering.
