Early childhood programme
EARLY childhood education plays an important role in the physical and mental development of a child.
With effective early childhood education, a child may develop to his full potential.
The importance of this aspect has prompted MSU College to offer a Diploma in Early Childhood Education programme to equip future educators with the knowledge and skills needed to guide children in their early years of growth.
The programme provides quality education in children’s early development, producing educators capable of effective interaction, engagement and management of children.
Specific emphases are given on teaching and learning theories, pedagogical skills, curriculum content, children development and psychology, child-learning assessment, preschool centre management, safety and nutrition aspects of children, as well as spiritual and moral development of children.
Diploma graduates wishing to progress to a bachelor’s degree have the opportunity of credit transfer to the second year at Management & Science University (MSU) through the MSU School of Education & Social Sciences (SESS).
Career opportunities for future early childhood educators include tutoring and childcare centre management.
