New broadband plans with no usage quota

MAXIS is taking preregistr­ation for what it claims are its most affordable high speed broadband packages yet.

the MaxisOne Home Fibre plan will be available in two speeds – 30Mbps (megabits per second) at RM89 per month and 100Mbps plan at RM129 per month.

the telco claims the new plans are priced 36% to 65% lower than previous plans.

the plans don’t have a usage quota and will come with a dualband WiFi router to maximise the higher broadband speeds.

the 100Mbps plan also comes with unlimited voice calls while customers going for the 30Mbps plan will have to pay an extra RM10 monthly to get it. new users for both plans will get a free cordless phone.

Meanwhile, business plans are priced slightly higher – 30Mbps at RM99 per month and 100Mbps at RM139 per month.

the plans come with benefits like “Always On” connectivi­ty for business continuity and a business-grade router which will enable additional speed upgrades as they become available and options to choose add-ons based on specific business needs.

“Our worry-free propositio­n has been a mainstay in all our products and solutions, and we look forward to continuing this commitment to all our home broadband customers,” said Dushyan Vaithiyana­than, Maxis head of consumer business.
