FOR anyone who skips the toner step in their skincare, South Korean beauty brand Mamonde will tell you it’s the crucial step to keeping your skin at its best condition.
It not only has one toner to serve all skin types, but offers a series of toners to suit different types of skin conditions.
To determine the right toner for your skin the brand recommends choosing your skin type and then choosing the flower under Mamonde’s range that will benefit your skin.
The toner series includes the Camomile Pure Toner for sensitive skin, Rose Water Toner for all skin types, Aqua Peel Toner for combination skin, Pore Clean Toner for oily skin and its newest, the Flower Honey Toner for dry skin.
Damask Rose, Chamomile, Plum Blossom, Buckwheat Honey and Heartleaf Houttuynia are the key flower ingredients that are used in the brand’s toner series.
The new Flower Honey Toner which utilises active ingredients from Buckwheat flower is ideal for those who are facing extreme skin dryness and signs of early ageing. It contains high level of enzymes and powerful antibacterial features that protect the skin, nourish and firms up the skin by strengthening the skin barrier to improve skin’s texture and elasticity.
Instead of relying on just one toner, the brand recommends layering or alternating with different toners to suit your different skin conditions throughout the week or month.
Interestingly, the Rose Water Toner which provides excellent soothing and moisturising care for the skin can be used in seven ways. Use it as a regular toner or pour it into a mist bottle to use as a facial mist whenever your skin needs a moisture boost. You can also soak your makeup sponge in Rose Water Toner to better blend your foundation or soak it with cotton pads, and leave it on your face for 10 minutes in place of a sheet mask.
By blending this toner with facial oil you’ll get a moisturising makeup remover and you can mix any powder such as green tea, and use on top of a paper sheet mask to create your own customised skincare. Finally, to fully maximise the efficacy of the Rose Water Toner, apply this toner seven times on your skin for intense hydration!
