An Italian experience at sea
COSTA Fortuna – Museum at Sea, the Italian cruise is coming to Port Klang, Malaysia this November. Spectacular in every detail, Costa Fortuna is the successor to the luxurious Italian ocean liners of the past. Its décor highlights classic Italian vessels with American-style comforts.
Entertainment is diverse from elegant dancing to jazz and elaborate theatrical productions.
Sit, meet and watch people mingle in Costa Atrium (from Decks 3 up to 7). With its retractable glass roof, the pool at the stern can be enjoyed any time while the main lido deck impresses with its exceptional space and design.
Accommodation
Almost two-thirds of the staterooms have an ocean view. Of these 60% have balconies while others have portholes or windows. There are 64 suites, from junior to penthouse with cabins catering up to four guests. There are two single cabins and about 20 wheelchairaccessible cabins.
Food and dining
Dinner may be in formal European-style or in one of the alternative clubs or pizzeria.
The two dining rooms – Michelangalo 1065 Restaurant and Rafaello 1965 Restaurant – are two decks high and have two seatings. There are over 50 types of pastas on the menus.
The Conte Grande 1927 Club is the upscale dining venue (reservations and cover charge apply), set beneath the stars under a giant glass dome. Alternatively, Club Grande Conte 1927 at the top of the ship is the ultimate onboard restaurant for a romantic experience (along with a piano player).
For breakfast, lunch and dinner, expect casual fare at the Christoforo Columbus 1954 Buffet Restaurant. In the evening, this converts to a candlelit pizzeria, while excellent coffees are available in the 11 bars around the ship. Room service provides continental breakfast and snacks.
Entertainment
The three-tiered Rex 1932 Theatre is the ship’s main show lounge with theatrical productions aimed at its European passengers. Dancing is most popular in venues such as the Conte di Savoia 1932 Grand Bar and Bar Conte Verde 1923.
There are three decks full of lounges – for night time fun and excitement you’ll find a casino, a disco, and a multimedia area.
