It provides all the detailed services including air tickets, ground transportation, hotel accommodation, car rental, travel insurance as well as arranging travel-related facilities such as organising seminars, conferences and custom-made packages.

Manager of the tour team Sheila David explained that the team only engages with well-trained guides who provide in-depth explanations about the places they visit.
For example, in the Holyland, only biblically trained guides are chosen to ensure pilgrims gain in depth understanding of things they see and the places they visit.
They also help link parts of the Old Testament and New Testament to give a wholesome understanding of the Bible.
All groups obtain permission from the government of Malaysia where needed before travelling, in order not to face complications or problems during travels.
“Our itineraries have developed over our 20 years of experience conducting specialised faith-based tours,” explained David.
“In 1997, our managing director Inbamanay MJ Arumanayagam conducted our first faith-based tour and since then we have expanded our programmes to offer many follow-up tours too. These include Turkey, Greece and Egypt.”
David said the team has collaborated with professionals to design its current itineraries and continue to include feedback from clients in keeping the programmes comfortable and reasonable.
“At the same time, we do not compromise on the quality of our tours as it’s a once in a lifetime experience for most of our clients.”
The one tour that everyone will have an eye on is the Oberammergau Passion Play, an event that is held once every 10 years.
This time, the play will return in 2020, and as seats are limited, registration is already open.
There is so much to learn and experience in these faith-enriching tours that while the majority of clients are first-timers, World Discovery also boasts a significant number of repeat travellers who have returned two or three times.
