Ginseng, a beauty elixir
Sulwhasoo’s new ginseng-based serum tackles anti-ageing from within.
GINSENG has been touted as an elixir of health for centuries, especially in East Asian cultures.
In skincare, it is no less revered as a prized ingredient.
Recently, South Korean beauty brand Sulwhasoo launched its new Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Serum, the latest addition to the brand’s signature Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Line.
The anti-ageing serum is formulated with ginseng leaves, stems and roots, and works by enhancing skin’s Derma-Epidermal Junction (DEJ), plumping up skin from within and reducing the appearance of wrinkles.
“With our Ginsenisphere technology, the serum contains microcapsules that are imbued with the energy of concentrated ginseng. Infused with precious ginseng seed oil, it automatically forms a creamy textured microcapsule that melts into the skin upon application, giving it nourishment,” said Choi Soo-jeong, Amorepacific Malaysia senior researcher, at the launch.
The serum provides a rich, silky feel without a sticky feeling.
The refreshing finish makes it a perfect match when used with the brand’s anti-ageing cream, the Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Cream EX.
In addition to the serum, Sulwhasoo also launched two new products to complement and complete its Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Line – the Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Water and Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Emulsion.
Both the Water and Emulsion contain anti-ageing ingredients that prep the skin by moisturising and firming up dry skin with the special ingredient known as steamed Ginseng Water Concentrate.
“Steamed Ginseng Water Concentrate is created by drying steamed ginseng in a vacuum and then recovering the vapours through a cooling process. The tedious process reflects Sulwhasoo’s commitment to securing precious ingredients,” said Choi.
Featuring three moisturising agents, the Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Water glides over skin effortlessly and is said to keep skin firm, moisturised and supple.
Meanwhile, the Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Emulsion absorbs into skin with ease to help keep it hydrated for a longer time.
With a lightweight and refreshing finish, the product works best when used together with the Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Water and Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Cream EX.
