I believe I can
Being positive and believing in yourself is very important. American champion gymnast, Mary Lou Retton said, “If you stay positive, good things and good people will be drawn to you.”
Recently, Starchild asked readers to share what they are positive they can do. Let’s hear what they have to say.
“I enjoy going to school and reading all my books. However, in my spare time I like to draw celestial creatures. These drawings come with stories as well. This hobby makes me a very positive person,” says Malcolm Lim Sher Wayne ,12.
Nine-year-old Gideon Immanuel Andrew David believes having a positive attitude makes him more creative. “My can-do attitude allows me to draw and this a hobby I really like. I like to draw out of my imagination and sometimes I draw something that I see at home or at school.”
“I like taking care of pets during my spare time. Every morning, I feed my bird and fish. Spending time with my pets makes me feel good,” writes Bernard Jude Andrew David, seven.
“My basketball coach always tells us to be positive and to try our best in everything we do. Having a positive attitude helped my friends and I win the basketball tournament we had at our school,” says Natalie Ang XinYan, seven.
“I believe I can be Malaysia’s best footballer. I like the feeling I get when I score a goal and it pushes me to practise so I can be the best,” says Tan Ming Hong, nine.
Eight-year-old Rayna Kam Shin Rui writes: “I would like to be a designer one day. When I am not at school, I like to sketch some stationery designs.”
