Reside in harmony and tranquillity
BASED in Johor Baru, Tanah Sutera Development’s projects include houses, shops and commercial centres.
The developer owns a land bank that comprises the strategic locations of Taman Sutera and Taman Sutera Utama. Both are well-connected to the Skudai Highway, Iskandar Coastal Highway and Malaysia-Singapore Second Link, facilitating convenient travel between the Johor Baru city centre and Singapore.
The mature township is surrounded by amenities such as Sutera Mall, Sutera Utama Biz Centre, Aeon Bukit Indah and Paradigm Mall to satisfy your lifestyle needs.
As a township builder, Tanah Sutera Development believes in nurturing communities and promoting green living. Its efforts towards society have received recognitions such as the Building Construction Authority Green Mark Gold Award (Singapore), Iskandar Malaysia Green Accord Initiative Award, Iskandar Malaysia Social Hero Award 2017 and Gold Award for Best Residential Landscape at Hari Landskap Johor 2017.
Its vision is to be the premier property developer that creates the best neighbourhoods, while its mission is to consistently deliver confidence, convenience, hope and happiness to everyone.
In accordance with its aim to become the best township developer, it focuses on the following aspects.
Community living
Ninety per cent of Tanah Sutera Development’s residential units are occupied by owners. It has helped the residents of many precincts in Taman Sutera and Taman Sutera Utama to form homeowner associations and ensure that the associations find their right footing before being assigned more responsibilities.
Tanah Sutera assisted residents in decorating their respective precincts in accordance with festivals celebrated by and events involving residents such as Chinese New Year, Mid-Autumn Festival, Christmas and Harmony Dance Run and Carnival 2018.
Entertainment for people of all ages and races
Sutera Mall is a family-oriented retail concept that attracts people of all races and ages. It emphasises culture and educational value in its development concept.
At Sutera Mall, exhibitions, seminars and art and cultural events are held all year round. It is the first mall in Johor Baru to house a private library, which is called MyLibrary.
Some of the activities organised at the mall are exhibitions such as Legacy of Tan Kah Kee and Lee Kong Chian, festive markets in conjunction with festivals such as Ramadhan, Mid-Autumn Festival and Chinese New Year, and year-end countdowns.
Protecting the environment
With the aim of achieving a zero-waste township, Good Earth became Tanah Sutera Development’s green initiative project in 2011.
Through this project, residents of The Seed and tenants of Sutera Mall pioneered food waste composting, which turns food waste into useable compost, to improve the landscapes at Sutera Mall and surrounding neighbourhoods.
Besides that, Sutera Mall houses a shop called Kuru Kuru, which serves as a place for people to bring in “unnecessary but still usable” items for others to take home and reuse. “Kuru kuru” means recirculation in Japanese.
Other green initiatives by Tanah Sutera Development include the use of effective microorganisms in construction, rainwater harvesting for landscaping and solar panels for energy-saving efforts at The Seed.
Property Carnival
In conjunction with its 28th year as a developer, Tanah Sutera Development launched the Sutera Property Carnival. Carnival package offerings include doublestorey terrace houses, doubleand triple-storey semi-detached houses, triple-storey shop offices, townhouses and condominiums.
