The more shades the better

NOW that there are more foundation shade options, Star2 spoke to some Malaysians on what they’re currently using and what they would like beauty brands to come up with.

Sharon has a slight tan skin tone and she currently wears the Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation in Soft Tan, which helps make her skin look a lot less shiny and is a shade that suits her skin tone.

Wearing a foundation is like putting on a second layer of skin on my face to cover up any imperfections and also to look natural.

Initially I had a problem in finding the right shade of foundation in the market. But, now it’s great that brands are offering a wider choice of foundation shades for different skin tones. This gives women more choices in picking the right shade and the confidence in finding one that truly fits them.

Unless I’m attending an event, I don’t really mix my foundations. When I do I just mix little a lighter foundation and concealer that will do the trick in helping me get a clearer and more even toned complexion.

I really hope beauty brands will come up with foundations that women can wear during outdoor activities, when swimming or sweating. I would like to see a good foundation that will not clog pores and is also safe to use for those with blemishes or troubled skin. Oh, and a foundation that breathes easily on the skin!
